Join Everybody’s Cycling for leisurely guided rides this summer along local traffic-free cycle routes in and around beautiful York in North Yorkshire.

The rides are ideal for those looking to improve their fitness levels and mental wellbeing. This is a great opportunity to discover new local cycling routes, learn how to safety check your bike and meet new people. The rides are intended for people with barriers to cycling and wanting to build up their cycling confidence. These short rides are free of charge thanks to Sport England’s Together Fund, distributed by Sustrans. Learn more about the health and environmental benefits of cycling via Sustrans.

Bikes and helmets are also free to borrow. Those with balance difficulties, or any other problems riding can borrow (again free of charge) one of our adapted cycles such as trikes, tandems, wheelchair transporters, side-by-side companion cycles and handcycles. People are encouraged to bring a friend if they are nervous about coming on their own, but Everybody’s Cycling can provide a friendly volunteer companion rider or bike buddy.

If you’re unsure which cycle suits your needs, please get in touch with Everybody’s Cycling to arrange an appointment to try some adapted cycles in advance of the rides. If you would like to a volunteer companion rider, tandem pilot or any other support, please let us know.
